Welcome to the Mentor 4 Moms Podcast!

On this episode:

Are you a list maker?`

Do you ever write things you’ve already completed down just to cross them off?

Do you have multiple pieces of paper with random thoughts and things you don’t want to forget?

Well, I am going to share with you the power of making lists.

Lists are a great way to get things off your mind so that you free up mental space to think, dream, solve problems, or even rest.

Remember the 3 roles in any organization?

  1. Visionary
  2. Manager
  3. Worker

Lists are powerful tools to also help you begin to ease yourself out of the worker role, and into a managerial role.

Lists are tangible ways to communicate important information so that others can step in and help.

Lists empower your kids to contribute and be involved.

Lists help your family to understand part of what it takes to do what you do (so easily.

Lists can eventually be transferred so that you can be freed up to meet the growing list of needs of the family.

Imagine if you had a list of what goes into the diaper bag or the snack bag if your kids are older. You could simply call off the things on the list and let the kids pack the bag.

Where do you start?

  • Think of a current frustration or area where the family gets stuck waiting on you.
  • Choose one area to create a list
  • Brainstorm what goes on the list (alone or with the kids)
  • Write this down or type it up
